Jamie is a high honors graduate from the University of Florida, Warrington College of Business, where she received a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a minor in Mass Communications. Shortly before entering the investment advisory business, while working as a tax preparer, Jamie began her studies with New York University's CFP certification program. Jamie fulfilled her requirements to carry the designation in October 2013 and began working with Lance Powers in November 2013.

What do you do at Canopy 360? 

Jamie leads our Financial Planning Division and cares for our clients ever-changing goals. She hosts regular reviews for clients, trains and coaches other advisors, leads our staff engagement initiatives, and manages the day to day needs of our practice.

And when you're not at the office, what keeps you busy?

"Our family, our love for most all things Disney, and just enjoying life."

Jamie is married to Gene, a civil engineer, and lives in Ocala. They have two children and two pups. The family loves hanging out in the pool, spending long days at Disney World, and being a part of the local community.

In 2019, just after their son turned one year old, Jamie found out she had breast cancer. A few days later, she found out she was pregnant. After years of fertility concerns and having lost a child before their sons birth, it just didn't make sense. "But God always has a plan," Jamie says. After 4 surgeries, 16 chemo therapies, 56 radiation treatments, Jamie is thankful to be cancer free and works to support local cancer research programs and other women going through similar diagnosis.
